How Does the Pantou Water Process Work?
Our device carries out this process in three simple, intelligent steps:
- Adsorption: The device draws in ambient air and passes it over beds of our proprietary MOF material. Without any need for cooling, the MOF selectively captures water molecules, even in extremely low humidity conditions (as low as 10%).
- Desorption: Once the material is saturated with water, the device applies a small amount of low-grade heat, causing the trapped water to be released as pure vapor. This vapor is then condensed into liquid water. This entire process uses up to 6 times less energy than conventional cooling-based methods.
- Purification & Mineralization: The resulting water, already in its purest form, is passed through a multi-stage filtration system and a UV-C lamp to eliminate any potential contaminants. Finally, essential minerals are added to provide you with healthy, great-tasting, high-quality drinking water.
